How do I get volunteers to do the “boring” jobs?

First by recognising that the task you are asking a volunteer to do is an important part of a larger goal and finding your own passion for that goal, then by communicating that passion and the larger plan to potential volunteers. You may need to plan volunteer tasks so they have a mixture of activities and the role as a whole is more interesting.
