Managing Room Hire
Meeting rooms, halls and community spaces can provide valuable services to the local community while also generating income that supports the charity’s work.
However, managing room hire can quickly become complicated.
Enquiries arrive at all hours. Booking calendars become confusing. Payments need tracking. Volunteers spend time answering emails and coordinating bookings.
MBS helps charities create simple, organised systems for managing room hire, making it easier to generate income while reducing the administrative burden on volunteers.
We support organisations from initial setup and promotion through to ongoing booking administration and building management. We help organisations promote, manage and administer room hire using systems like Hallmaster, making it easy to attract bookings and manage enquiries.
Turn your building into a reliable income stream without adding pressure to volunteers.
Helping Charities Make Better Use of Their Buildings

Communications & Outreach
Charities do important work, but sometimes the hardest part is making sure people know about it.
Keeping websites updated, sending newsletters or promoting activities can easily slip down the priority list.
MBS offers practical communications and outreach support, helping charities stay connected with their communities.
Our role is to help manage the administrative side of communications, ensuring information is shared clearly and consistently.
Supporting Your Charity’s Visibility
Good communication helps charities:
- keep supporters informed
- attract volunteers
- promote events and activities
- build relationships within the community
- strengthen fundraising efforts
Our approach focuses on simple, sustainable communication systems that volunteers can maintain over time.
Fundraising – Grant Applications
Fundraising is an important part of running a charity. Charities need reliable income to achieve their objectives, but also fundraising builds trust, raises awareness and connects people to a cause. MBS can help with annual and irregular fundraising including gift aid management.
- Scoping with client to clarify needs
- Advising clients
- Fundraising letters & associated admin
- Updating record spreadsheet
- Reporting to clients
- Monitoring donations
- Closing project
