icon moneyMoney Handling

You are looking for a way to be comfortable with financial matters.
You want to be certain that the monies entrusted are safe and dealt with appropriately.

We work alongside treasurers and trustees to maintain the day-to-day financial administration of the charity, ensuring information is available when needed for reports, meetings and annual accounts.

Trustees remain responsible for financial decisions and oversight. Our role is to support the systems and processes that keep financial administration running smoothly.

For many charities, this means greater clarity, reduced stress and confidence that financial records are in good order.

Examples of Tasks We Support With

Every charity’s finances are slightly different, but common areas of support include:

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping

  • Recording income and expenditure
  • Maintaining clear financial records
  • Tracking donations and payments
  • Organising digital receipts and documentation
  • Reconciling bank transactions

Supporting the Treasurer

  • Preparing financial summaries for committee meetings
  • Organising financial paperwork
  • Creating simple reports trustees can understand
  • Tracking budgets and spending

Donation & Fund Administration

  • Recording donations and income streams
  • Supporting Gift Aid record keeping
  • Tracking fundraising income
  • Organising donor records

Preparing for Year-End Reporting

  • Preparing financial information for accountants
  • Preparing documentation for independent examiners
  • Organising financial records for annual accounts

The aim is always the same: clear, accurate financial records that trustees can easily understand and rely upon.

All our bookkeepers are qualified to a minimum of AAT level 4, or the equivalent.

Please note we cannot provide Independent Examination or Auditing services.

icon communicationCommunications & Outreach

Charities do important work, but sometimes the hardest part is making sure people know about it.

Keeping websites updated, sending newsletters or promoting activities can easily slip down the priority list.

MBS offers practical communications and outreach support, helping charities stay connected with their communities.

Our role is to help manage the administrative side of communications, ensuring information is shared clearly and consistently.

Supporting Your Charity’s Visibility

Good communication helps charities:

  • keep supporters informed
  • attract volunteers
  • promote events and activities
  • build relationships within the community
  • strengthen fundraising efforts

Our approach focuses on simple, sustainable communication systems that volunteers can maintain over time.

icon paper and penFundraising – Grant Applications

Fundraising is an important part of running a charity. Charities need reliable income to achieve their objectives, but also fundraising builds trust, raises awareness and connects people to a cause. MBS can help with annual and irregular fundraising including gift aid management.
