I sometimes feel like I spend my time rushing to catch up, and then I am never quite ready for the challenges ahead.
#Advent is a time to prepare, to take the time to get ready.
This can mean gift shopping and sending cards, but can also mean taking the time to prepare spiritually and emotionally.
It is easy to lose sight of the latter in the chaos of the former.
Advent reminds us to take a minute, to stop and breathe, to mentally prepare, and to strengthen our spirit. That could be with prayer or meditation, but could also be doing an activity you enjoy.
Your to-do list might not go anywhere, but take the time to be kind to yourself and you might be in a better place to cope, to be #ready for whatever comes next.
